What We Are Not Able to Treat

Certain mental health concerns require specialized training and additional supportive services. These include:

  • Active Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
  • Schizophrenia & Psychosis
  • Mixed receptive-expressive disorders
  • Eating disorders (anorexia & bulimia)
  • Autism spectrum
  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Substance abuse (active)
  • Epilepsy and other seizures disorders
  • Dissociative Identity Disorder
  • Cardiac arrhythmia
  • Patients who require more than one controlled substance
  • Patients who’ve been hospitalized for a mental health condition in the last 8 months

Prescribed With Extreme Caution

We prioritize patient safety and offer prescription medications on a case-by-case basis. Some controlled substances are prescribed only in very low doses, and we do not prescribe more than one controlled substance per patient. The following medications are prescribed with extreme caution, and we carefully evaluate each patient's needs before making any recommendations.

  • Alprazolam (Xanax)
  • Clonazepam (Klonopin)
  • Diazepam (Valium)
  • Lorazepam (Ativan)
  • Adderall (Amphetamine)
  • Ritalin (Methylphenidate)
  • Concerta (Methylphenidate)
  • Other controlled substances
